I love a strong, HONEST person… I LOVE Lady Saw for many reasons, but this interview of her impressed me so much. To be honest, I didn’t expect such elegance in her interview, I’m used to her raw and raunchy style but she shocked me, especially with the singing. I know at times it’s hard to understand what she is saying if you’re not familiar with her accent, however the music is still classic and she made me so PROUD TO BE A WOMAN! She explained the meaning of some of her biggest hits. I got chills listening to her, she’s intelligent and lovely. Her music is raw and uncut, therefore I love her!

A recent comment on a Youtube video of mine that really struck a nerve with me…
you have some interesting points….but if lets say I had kids,and Jay-Z was influencing them with his music to hate God…then I’d be worried….you talk about a country that has freedom of religion…???well subliminals in music is not freedom of religion…..I think it’s selfish of you to exonerate these guys for keeping us focused on wealth and death….and not concentrate on real issues…..you have your opinion and I respect that…but the picture is way bigger than you could imagine….
My response:
Of course you all have a right to be upset about it. But you can only be so upset.They never made you listen to their music and their music was NEVER encouraging ANYONE to LOVE God so I’m amused at how “surprised” most people are that celebs are doing this. OF COURSE they are, they always were, since when has Jayz Promoted anything holy? Godlike? Righteous? And why are you expecting him to?
And as a parent, you & I are accountable for what our children watch, listen to,etc.
A child shouldn’t be listening to half the songs that play on the radio so before you complain about what they’re exposing to your child, you’ve got to make sure you’re doing everything you can to keep them away from it in the first place. Most of Beyonce, Rihanna Lady Gaga, Jay z, and Lil Wayne’s music is ADULT anyway. Even if they’re aren’t saying HATE GOD, what they promote should already tell you what’s going on and if that is your issue then I recommend only listening to Gospel music b/c even thing else is apparently corrupt…
What I found EXTREMELY annoying is not just that commenter but MANY people are raising HELL about this. Keep in mind half of you are not well educated in half of the things you’re freaking out about. Therefore you take everything you read and hear and believe it without questioning it. Question EVERYTHING. Maybbe 50% of what you’ve been told is true, what about the other 50%? Have you verified it for yourself or did you simply rely on a youtube video and a conspiracy theory website to mold your mind.
Simply believing what you are told b/c it sounds good is not enough, you have to PROVE TO YOURSELF that what you are being told is accurate. Pretty lies are rarely beneficial.
Also, since when has drug and alcohol promotion, sex and violence and materialism been Godlike? And has that music not been promoted and PLAYED for OVER a decade now (only talking about the current mainstream artists) ? How long does it take for you (Christians, Muslims and anyone else who has an issue with the celebs and the rumors) to figure out that this is inappropriate for you to listen to or allow your children to enjoy?
You wouldn’t play half of this music in front of your Church congregation, mother. grandparents,etc. So you already knew this was inappropriate to some capacity. If you feel the media and entertainers are subliminally brainwashing you, then avoid them. No one has ever forced you to listen to immoral music, nor watch television. We do it for entertainment, but before television people used to…
Oh I don’t know… READ. TALK. Be physically active!! (Yes I’m stating alternative ways to enjoy yourself if you feel these things are corrupt).
How can you act like you weren’t aware of the very things you’re against being portrayed in most, if not all forms of entertainment? Many of you listened religiously and supported these artists and if Occult symbols were not pointed out to you, most would not get the references. FYI The Occult is not about Devil worship, it just so happens to be condemned by several BIG NAME religions, Christianity,etc which explains why many of you have issues with this in the first place. You have that right! But it does NOT mean people that are into the Occult are evil, worship or even acknowledge Satan,etc. But I’m sure many of you were unaware of these things. Don’t hate for the sake of hating…
For instance, Satanism is NOT the worship of Satan. Most Satanists are atheists and are about hedonism and worshiping themselves, not an invisible evil entity. Luciferians don’t believe Lucifer to be evil. Do some research, Don’t believe EVERYTHING you hear, if it doesn’t make sense, look it up. If you want to know about the Occult, go to an OCCULT website, not to the biased ones that will tell you what you’ve already been told. Wikipedia is NOT a dictionary, think for yourself.
Avoid what you feel will bring you down, corrupt your children, brainwash you,etc.
But don’t sit around bitching about it all day, b/c that gets ANNOYING!
